My Life, My Future (MLMF) is a mentoring and creative group support offer designed specifically for young people aged 11–18 who are:
• living with a long-term health condition (physical or mental); or
• living in a household where a family member has one.
MLMF Programme
MLMF provides support for up to three cohorts of 12 students and includes:
• Weekly 1:1 mentoring focused on wellbeing, voice and self-esteem
• Weekly creative group sessions (e.g. drama, podcasting, storytelling)
• A strengths-based, trauma-informed approach to improving confidence and communication
• Delivered on school grounds, scheduled around your school day
We’ve successfully delivered MLMF in a number of London schools, including Evelyn Grace Academy, Ernest Bevin College, Christ’s School Richmond, and St John Bosco College, with strong feedback from both staff and students.
We recently delivered the programme in a school in Richmond, where it was very well received. Here’s what they said:
“Professional, well thought through… effective relationships cultivated with the young people. We would always welcome any involvement from YourStory at our school.”
